Whoohoo!

10 pounds gone this month. I almost fell off the scale this morning.
Of course there will be feasting Thursday so some of that will return.
I am taking a veggie platter or green bean dish. something light so that I can have a big pile on my plate.
Yesterday I was too busy for breakfast so I ended up with a huge bowl of spicy black bean, turkey sausage for lunch and popsickle to cool my throat down.
Supper was 1/4 a medium size thin crust pizza and some raw cauliflower. It was a tasty day and I didn't expect to drop any weight after that. I did!
Today will be a little more healthy though.

  1. Kathy - I'm not a big breakfast fan but I've learned that eating any bread/toast just leads to more. SO? On the days when I'm on the run, I make a smoothie - yogurt, fruit juice, 2-3 tbsps of fresh-ground flax seed powder and my favourite frozen berries. Then I toss in a couple tbspns of a high quality protein powder and it's unbelievable how it stays with me. I take it with me if I'm leaving the house and drink it like I would a coffee.

You should be some proud of yourself - 10 lbs already! Good for you. Will you start adding in some light exercise now for the next 10 lbs?

  2. Haha about the exercise. You don't know my lifestyle enough. I clean houses and a business on the weekend. It is way beyond light exercise. When not working, I try to go exercise the horses on a lunge line and make it a point to walk along with them. Come winter I'll drag out the WiiFit. The only time I really sit around is in the evening and than I crash down.
I know eating bread will make me crave it all day. Sometimes an egg on a nice piece of whole grain bread and some Boston mint tea is worth those hunger pangs later. Cereal is the same way - it sets the sugar cravings off big time. It helps to know you can see it coming.
Your smoothie sounds really good! I'll need to try that. Thanks, Kathy
