The scales/equipment. Link added with recipes for low cal meals

I have 2 scales that I don't use when off the diet.
One is a Health-O-Meter bathroom scales. The kind that has a sliding bar like the older doctor's scales. It so brutally accurate that my skinnier sister comes here, she will go weigh herself.

The other is a Good Cook brand digital food scale. It was birthday gift I picked out for myself. Love it. It has a nice size tray on the top.

I use glass Pyrex measuring cups. Everything that needs measured, gets measured. It's suprising how small a cup of cereal looks in a Corningware bowl.

I did the first weigh-in this morning. It was not as bad as I expected, but honey, it's not pretty.
Here is the first site - good looking recipes!

  1. Thanks, Kathy - looks like a good bookmark!

Hope you had a great weekend and didn't wind up too discouraged. We live in such a "satisfy-me-now" society that I find I want my weight-loss NOW too!! And goodness knows it just ain't gonna happen that fast!
